A little bit about me

I am currently watching an autistic boy and his two siblings. I have worked as an ABA therapist for a 1 1/2 years and then started babysitting the same family. I love watching kids, teaching and playing with them. I help with driving, cleaning and cooking. I am 41 years old and don’t have any kids of my own but am around kids often. I am looking for a full time position until the little ones start school but hope continue to care for them for parents to have date nights and/or whenever they would need me. I am a hard worker, positive, fun and loving woman who try’s to help anyone out. I am patient, kind and energetic person who goes above and beyond making others happy. I have a great sense of humor and always trying to make people and kids laugh. I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine and especially now since the world is crazy place but being happy is important for everyone nowadays. I am hoping to find the right family which will make and treat me part of their family.

ABA therapist at WEAP which is Wisconsin Early Autism Project.

Rising Stars Academy which is a daycare and I worked with 3 years for about 10 months and enjoyed it but was hard because we were short staffed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing any outdoor activities with my current two girls and autistic boy. We go swimming at the pool or beach at least 3 days a week. I take them to the park often, take walks, ride bikes or just have them play outside. I love summer and am always trying to be outside with them as much as possible. As far as winter we play in the snow, build a snowman and/or will take them to park or on walks as long as the weather permits us to do so. Winter activities inside include playing with puzzles , reading, coloring, playing with toys and physical play. I generally stay busy with the kiddos and make sure they are learning as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that they are enjoying their summer with me and they will remember it as well. Another important part is that they learn as much as possible with me and they are happy, well taken care of, and able to talk to me about anything. As well as all the kids our safe, learning and having fun. I would do many different learning activities, song and projects at the daycare so the kids get the best learning experience as possible.

My experience with special needs children...

Autistic boys and I did work with a kiddo who had Down syndrome as well as autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is when I take the girls to the pool and they swim to me, go down the water slides and just have a wonderful time. Honestly everyday is a memorable moment considering we try to do many different fun activities.
