After years of working remotely, I realized something was missing in my life - purpose and the joy of working with children. My husband and I made a big decision to move to LA so I could pursue my passion for childcare once again, and now I am searching for my "forever nanny family." I am eager to find a long-term position where I can make a meaningful difference.

I have several years of paid experience working with children. I have a Bachelor's Degree and am planning on getting a Masters in Child Development/Psychology. I have been married 10 years and have three adorable tiny Yorkies and love all animals. I am looking for a job that I can throw my whole heart and soul into.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Throughout my career, I've developed a wide range of skills that make me a versatile and reliable caregiver. From working with private families as a professional nanny, to teaching voice and dance to young children, I've had the privilege of making a positive impact on children's lives. Additionally, my experience as a volunteer camp counselor at Brigham Young University's Performing Arts Camp for ages 13-18 and my four years in a church nursery, caring for children ages 18 months to 3 years, have deepened my understanding of children's emotional and developmental needs at every stage.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have a passion for imaginative play and outdoor exploration. I love doing crafts of all kinds with children. Including coloring, painting, drawing, beading, and sensory crafts. I enjoy hiking, nature walks, learning about nature, animals and. science, and I love nurturing the natural curiosity that children have about the world around them. I am proficient in all things make-believe and enjoy singing, dancing, acting, writing plays and musicals, and singing karaoke to Disney songs or to my guitar. You know that song that Rapunzel sings at the beginning of Tangled. I'm basically that song in real life!

The most important part about being a nanny...

With a passion for fostering imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and healthy emotional development, I bring a creative and nurturing approach to childcare. My goal is not only to guide children in their daily activities but also to help them become confident, well-rounded individuals.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a special needs child for three years who had a genetic disorder that included gastrointestinal and digestive issues, as well as challenges with school and emotional regulation. My responsibilities included administering her medication, tutoring her, and assisting with homework after school. I worked closely with her teachers and aides to ensure she had the support she needed in the classroom. At home, I provided comfort and discipline, helping her manage emotional outbursts when they occurred. While the role was challenging at times, it was incredibly rewarding. We developed a close bond, and the love and trust she showed me made all the hard days worthwhile.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I felt so much joy the first time my nanny girl with special needs came home from school and said she had made a new friend at school and they wanted to plan a play date. Socializing in public school was difficult due to her disabilities and I felt so proud of her, and happy for her. We got the friend's phone number and the mother and I planned a playdate for them. I love helping children grow and enabling them to be their amazing selves and see for themselves that they are capable of incredible things!
