A little bit about me

Hello my name is Melissa and besides raising 2 wonderful daughters I have worked on different Marine Corps Bases for 12 years combined, completing weekly lesson plans to cover children’s developmental stages from social, emotional, cognitive, gross, and fine motor skills. I worked on Camp Lejeune NC completing all modules within two years and receiving my Child Development Associates. I worked as a lead running all aspects of the class room in Camp Lejeune and a Technician having a part-day preschool program in Okinawa Japan having a preschool building with 2 class rooms. I worked with 8 infants daily for two years helping with every milestone. I taught first aide and CPR to childcare providers working through Red Cross and the CDC. Once my oldest daughter who is an RN had her daughter I started keeping her for since she was a preemie. I would be honored to be invited into your home and give you and your family a peace of mind know your baby or child is well taken care of and loved.

I worked for the USMC at the Child Development Centers for 12 years, raised my daughters who are wonderful girls and took care of my 2 granddaughters for two years until my daughter started doing a traveling nurse jobs.

I love doing crafts with children, I always try to incorporate learning experiences with doing different centers as circle time, singing, blocks, sensory tables, I also enjoy outdoors activities from water play, nature play, sensory with sand and play dough.

I would have to say I have many but the feeling of comfort the and love a baby feels while you are feeding them and singing to them. You can see their eyes getting heavy and you know they are full, trusting, happy, and comfortable with you.
