Hello, I'm Melody and I got my start with babysitting at a young age when my sister had her first little one. I spent years taking care of her children on and off until I started working for the local bus company with special needs children with babysitting jobs on the weekends. I believe that children bring out the best in us and that it is important to give them the tools they need to continue that inspiration throughout their lives.

For the last seven years, up until July of 2020, I worked at Durham School Services as a bus aide, monitoring pre school children as well as special needs children.

Like I mentioned before, I enjoy reading and writing. I also love crafting and painting (even if I'm terrible at it).

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part about being a nanny is connecting with the children. I think it's hard for any parent to be away from their children day in and day out so if they have a nanny who connects with their kids, someone they trust and enjoy spending that time with then that's a job well done.

My experience with special needs children...

At the bus company I worked daily with special needs children as well as a weekend babysitting job I had back in 2012 working with 2 special needs boys.
