I also enjoy baking or cooking simple, kid-friendly recipes together, as it’s a fun way to teach basic skills. My goal is always to create activities that are safe, creative, and tailored to each child’s interests and needs.

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and cared for. I believe a nanny should not only meet a child’s basic needs but also help them grow, learn, and feel confident. Building trust with both the children and the parents is essential, and I take pride in being dependable, compassionate, and attentive. To me, being a nanny is about becoming a positive influence and helping make everyday moments meaningful and enjoyable for the family.
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working with children who have special needs, including autism and ADHD. My younger brother has ADHD and high-functioning autism, so I understand the importance of patience, structure, and positive reinforcement in daily care. Additionally, I have babysat for a family friend whose younger son has autism and older son has ADHD, where I helped create a calm, supportive environment tailored to their unique needs. These experiences have taught me how to adapt activities, manage behaviors, and provide compassionate care that promotes comfort and independence.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when I taught a little girl I cared for how to ride her bike without training wheels. She had been nervous for weeks, and we practiced a little every day. The look on her face when she finally rode on her own was priceless—she was so proud of herself, and I was proud to have helped her reach that milestone. Moments like that remind me why I love caring for children—being part of their growth and celebrating their successes is so rewarding.

Hi my name is Carrie I’m 20 years olds and like think of myself as loving, kind, artistic and honest. With that being said I am a little shy when it comes to meeting new people. I have about 7 to 8 years of experience working with kids on wide age spectrum, from one month all the ways to about eight years. For as long as I can remember I have had a draw for working with kids. In high school I took a Teacher Education class through the Allegan Tech Center. Through that class I was able to gain lots of information on children's developmental areas, behavior, teaching etc. I was also able to gain experience working in preschool classroom. My junior year I was in the classroom two times a week, two hours each day. My senior year I interviewed and was asked to be an assistant teacher in that classroom.I was able to be in the classroom for two hours a day Monday through Thursday . I also attended a competition where Me and my partner created a lesson plan and implement it in a classroom and then presented it in front of judges. Me and my partner placed gold. After I graduated high school in 2016, I moved to Kentwood and started watching the neighbors boy why she had class. She then had a little girl and stop taking classes so I moved to the job I am currently at now at a commissary warehouse. When I started this job it truly put a perspective that I really wanted to work with kids. I love being able to learn and adapt to each child's best needs and developmental areas. I love being able to help kids and see their proud faces when they figure something out. I Love taking kids to parks and zoos and going on fun adventures and hope that I can find a family that will allow me to that. :) I am looking to find a family that will look past my initials shy state and realize I will do all I can for their kids.
