Hi! :)

I’m Mia, 24 years old, & pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy at FAU. With most of my classes being virtual, I’m excited to support a family with pre- & post-school care, as well as occasional weekends!

I have a passion for all things creative. I love dabbling in graphic design & have been a devoted theatre & music enthusiast since I was 9 . I even studied theatre in college & still perform today!

I have 6 years of experience as a childcare leader, working with kids from 6 months to 17 years old, and I’ve been a youth mentor, acting as a “big sister” to middle and high schoolers - a truly rewarding experience that I’ll always cherish.

I’m a big animal lover (especially dogs!), and while I’m allergic to cats, I still adore them.

I’m proficient in laundry, organizing, cleaning, homework help, and love assisting in the kitchen when I can :)

I’m currently enrolled in a CPR/First Aid course, so safety is always a priority.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

at The Grace Place! I worked as a caregiver/teacher for grades ranging from kindergarten to fifth graders for four years!
And I served as a mentor for the middle and high schoolers for several years as well!
Also was a family babysitter for two separate families (both families of four) on occasion!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love anything creative! Singing, dancing, acting, painting, coloring, sculpting!

Baking with children is another favorite of mine. They’re always so excited to jump in and help, and it’s such a fun way to teach new skills while making delicious treats together.

I also enjoy balancing active play with quieter moments, like reading, storytelling, or simply relaxing and chatting about their day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have always wanted to be like a big sister—someone who is there to listen, guide, and share in their growth and experiences. Being a nanny allows me to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can express themselves and feel heard. I believe in the power of genuine connections, and my goal is to be a reliable and compassionate presence in their lives, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

It's pretty minimal currently. I help around in the autism program where I went to high school. I went to a Christian K-8 school and most of the special needs students were 10-14. I'm majoring in Occupational Therapy in hopes to work with special needs kids as my future profession. I have quite the handful of patience with them, a gentle approach, and a whole bunch willingness to learn and help in this area :)
