A little bit about me

Hi , I’m Mia Qubadi & I’m a 16 yr old Junior in High School & I turn 17 in September. I’m looking for a part-time nanny job. I’m not scared of a busy task. I love taking care of kids and I tend to get along with them, so being a nanny during my high school/future college career is just for me. I’d also love to put this as a plus on my college applications. I have a four year old little sister ,a seven year old nephew and a one year old nephew. I am trusted by both my mom and older sister to take care of their kids. I was nine years old when my nephew was born, my older sister always put her trust in me at such a young age I was and I never let her down. She never had to worry about hiring a nanny because she had me , her trusting little sister. I took care of my nephew when it was needed since I was nine. Since my sister trusted me ,my mom did too with my little sister. I’m also currently trusted to care for my baby nephew as well. If you are looking for a part-time nanny ,here I am!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Here are some fun activities I love doing with kids to keep them busy :
• hide & go seek
• freeze tag
• hot potato
• arts & crafts such as painting, drawing, etc.
• reading to the kids
• dancing to kids music
• exploring nature
• gardening pants in little plastic cups / pots for the kids to keep
• writing kind letters to loved ones
• playing with toys using our imagination with the toys
• letting the kids choose a activity perhaps I haven’t heard about yet that’s appropriate for play time

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny for me is getting to know each child I work with so that way I know what they like and don’t like. Getting to know the children is so important to me because if I know what they like and don’t like , I can use that information to help me get the child to be more active , comfortable , and playful with me as their nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not cared for a special needs child yet, but I do not mind. I have little cousins that are special needs and I know how to play with them and give them their space when needed. I am also very kind and playful with the special needs children that I have came across to at my school/ past schools. I am autistic myself , so I can get a clear understanding of what the child is going through in their head space. I do not “ appear “ to be autistic , but I can assure you that I am. I’ve gotten the help I needed since I was four years old to help me live a “ normal life “ as much as possible. I’ve also been put into normal and honors classes all my life because of how hard working and dedicated I’ve been raised to be. There’s different levels to autism, my autism isn’t as discrete as others , but like I said , I can get an understanding of what they need , want and what they are going through. I also don’t mind taking care of physically disabled children.
