A little bit about me

Hey, I’m a university school student that loves taking care of kids. I’ve been babysitting in my community since I was 13 and at this point there isn’t much k haven’t seen. I love cooking and would enjoy making food for your family as well as teaching life skills to your children. I know how to cook vegetarian and vegan meals in addition to regular meals. I also know how to do laundry and most other housework would be open to cleaning up. I also know how to sew and can mend clothes which comes in handy for particularly adventurous children. I love babysitting because of how sweet children are. I took a 5 month first aid class and know how to do CPR on infants and children. I also have experience working with special need kids thanks to a program at my school. I graduated at the top 10% of my class with a 4.5 gpa and summa cum laude. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I taught math basics to disabled children through a program at my school which I did for an over a year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite activity to do with children by far is cooking/baking with them. Depending on their age I’ll have them count out ingredients, wash vegetables, mix, or other simple tasks. I find this teaches life skills while also being super fun for kids. It does slow down the cooking process but definitely makes it more fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Accommodating the child. Children are stubborn and I think that rather than fighting with children about how their wrong go with what there saying as long as it’s not dangerous so that they can find out why it’s wrong for themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was babies sitting 4 and 2 year old boys from my church and they said that they wanted pasta for lunch. After I made the pasta I asked what kind of sauce they wanted on their pasta the 2 year old didn’t want any sauce but the 4 year old wanted red sauce. I put regular tomato sauce on that noodles but the boy said he hated it. He said he wanted strawberry jam on his pasta. I gave him some to try to show him it wasn’t good and he said I made it wrong so I put tomato sauce in 3 different containers and said which one of these was the right one. He liked one of them hated the others but he ate all of his pasta in the end. I thought it was hilarious how bossy and adamant he was even though he was eating the same thing.
