I have three older brothers and they are the musicians or computer geeks, I have always been the athletic one. Nothing brings a family together like a game of basketball, even if i never win. And I have competed in dance, cheer, and figure skating! I am currently in college, working to become a cardiologist. I work at a restaurant as a server but I miss working with kids so much.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat my cousins and niece since they were all newborns. I began staying overnight and babysitting long hours for my cousin and her two boys since they were two and seven. They are now six and eleven and I still babysit them from time to time. I babysit my niece often for as long as I can remember, she is now nine.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love nature and I love to take my niece out on trails to walk our dogs, if your family has dogs I would be happy to find a nice trail nearby for a walk! I love anything outdoor that can be played right outside the house; chalk, basketball, riding bike, etc. For the girly’s dolls and dress up is always super fun! I love to take my cousins and niece to the library to pick out a book so I can help them read it on rainy days or before bed. When they are old enough, I pick out a book and we have a designated reading time where we both read separately; I think it is very important to lead by example. I also love mentally stimulating activities, so if you would like, I would love to help with homework or help make challenging subjects fun and easier to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure you always know where and what the children are doing. Kids don’t know better and are unpredictable. It is the nanny’s responsibility to keep them safe.

My experience with special needs children...

When I was 13 I chose to have my homeroom with special needs children. I worked with them on schoolwork, communication skills, and even helped some do daily activities that can be difficult.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many, a very funny moment would be my five year old cousin evil laughing, for no reason at all, but that is just kids. A more meaningful moment would be with my niece, I dressed her up, did her hair, put a little eyeshadow and lipstick on her, and just watched her become so confident and happy. We danced to music and laughed a bunch and I felt so close to her in that moment.
