The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting and supportive relationship with both the children and their family. This relationship forms the foundation for everything else you do.
Children need to feel safe and secure with their caregiver. Establishing trust helps children feel comfortable and valued, which is essential for their emotional and social development.
Open and honest communication with parents ensures that you understand their expectations and can address any concerns or adjustments needed.
Maintaining consistency in caregiving routines and discipline helps children feel secure and understand boundaries. This consistency, paired with flexibility to adapt to changes, is key to effective nannying.
Children learn a lot through observation. Being a positive role model in behavior, problem-solving, and interpersonal interactions influences their development and helps shape their values and attitudes.

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I took my preschool classroom on a field trip to the zoo.
We started by exploring the various animal exhibits. To tie the experience into our arts and crafts activity later, we decided to have a “Zoo Day” back in the classroom. The children were thrilled when I introduced the idea of creating their animal masks. As we sat down to craft, the room was filled with laughter and chatter. Each child eagerly designed their animal mask. The creativity and enthusiasm of the kids were contagious. The kids proudly showed off their creations, and we ended the day with a fun zoo themed story time, where each child got to share their favorite part of the zoo trip. Seeing their faces light up with joy and pride was incredibly rewarding. It was a wonderful way to extend the excitement of the field trip into a creative activity, and it reminded me of how simple moments can be made extraordinary with a little imagination and enthusiasm.

I am a Filipino grandma of 5 between ages of 5-16. I can drive kids to their sports activities and after-school care. I raised my 2 kids in a Catholic School all the way to Gonzaga Prep. Now, they are Doctor and HR Director. So they say, you never know how a good parent you are until you see your own kids succeed in their own way. Please consider me the best grandma-nanny you will find. Your kids will always be in good hands with “Lola”.
Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Federal Way, WA: Beautiful B.
Hi, my name is beautiful I am 18 years old and I love children. Throughout my years of life, I’ve babysat, neighbors, children, my own cousins or family, friends children I’m interested in being your babysitter for your lovely children because I bring a positive attitude, a hard-working demeanor, and overall a smile to your little ones faces. In high school I took a child development class and learned a lot about how children cooperate in stressful situations and how to address it on so I would say I have a good idea of what to do and how to take care of children, although you know your child better than me , I’m very interested in learning more about you and your family and helping out in times and need.
