A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Michaela! I have worked with children in some context my whole life- my mom does home daycare, I babysat as a teenager/young adult, I have taught kids horseback riding lessons, I worked at a summer camp program, I was a school nurse for 3.5 years, and most recently started working as a pediatric nurse at a hospital. And while I clearly love working with children, I'm just not finding the hospital to be a great fit for me and am looking for a job where I can take a bit of a breather from nursing and get back to working with kids in a context I truly love- supporting their growth and development while building a long term relationship with the children and their family. I love engaging with children, whether that be arts and crafts or helping them explore the outdoors- everything is a learning opportunity, and it is so fun to watch kids learn! As a nurse, I am vigilant about safety and am well versed in first aid as well as CPR certified.
