I taught junior high and high school for 14 years, have worked in church early childhood for 15+ yrs, worked in a daycare for 1.5 yrs, and taught preschool for 1 yr. I have also been a foster parent and have worked in kids camps over the years.

As a former scientist and science teacher, I am passionate about science and love to get kids excited about science. I enjoy exploring the world with the kids and doing experiments. I enjoy watching kids discover and learn. I love playing outside, riding bikes, going on nature hikes, sledding and playing in the snow. I also like to take kids to the library, museums, parks, and playgrounds. I like to teach kids about healthy habits and foods and enjoy teaching them how to prepare food, cook, and bake.

I have worked with many kids with special needs over my career. During my last year as a preschool teacher, I taught two half-day preschool classes (ages 3-5 yrs) of which approximately 50% of the students were special needs.
