More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Since I was a small kid myself I would take care of my nephews & little cousins. I would wake up & make them breakfast & that’s how I learned how to cook at a young age. I would wash dishes & clean counters after cooking. While I’d clean I’d leave a movie on for the kids so I know what there doing while I’m not around. I always make sure the doors are locked because your child’s protection is important to me. Growing up taking care of my nephews it taught me to make sure there are no spark objects or dangerous material around to keep their safety a priority . I would take them to parks if not create activities so they can have fun & get off there electronics. I also took care of my niece being months old for my brother which was great experience for me to learn how to take care of a young infant. I would also take care of my little cousin around his toddler age which made me learn how to take control of situations and make them into a fun and danger free environment .

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to make fun ideas even if it’s as simple as colors , we can make fun and exciting drawing with the kids & make interesting story’s up so the kids could laugh & let there imagination run wild . Going outside on beautiful day is important so we can play fun games while burning calories. For example there are basket ball , soccer & it’s not even about winning it’s about getting everyone to participate & enjoying there self with everyone. Arts & crafts are so wonderful because you get to also see what the children like or think of when they draw, color or decorate . I like that because than it gives me a idea of what they like & I can keep up & make new ideas that are similar to there likes . I also know how to cook so I make food in front of them & show them how to instruct food & act / pretend we are on a cooking show so they can see cooking is fun & exciting to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The important part about being a nanny Is making the child happy & making sure the child can trust to come to me when in time of need or when hurt or when something has happened. I feel satisfied when the child is feed , homework done , clean house & everything looks nice and neat. Along with making sure the child having a clean set of clothes and baby wipes so I can wipe there face if dirty after eating or a fresh set of clothes if needed to change. So they can look nice & ready for bed for when mom or dad comes home & sees the house clean , there kids fed & them with pjs & in bed .

My experience with special needs children...

My cousin is special so I learned at a young age to always be more gentle with the way I talk . I never treated him different because he is a human being just like us & shouldn’t feel like he’s being treated different because of his needs . Him feeling like he is apart of the group is important because discrimination is never a option .

The most important part about being a nanny...

I remember feeding the kids after they played games & other activities after that I , cleaned up & than they showered & changed them selves & after they were laying down & I covered them with a blanket and got them pillows & it made me feel so good that they were well fed , had a good time & now they are nice and warm & feeling comfortable which made me proud .
