Board games , playing outside, going for walks , coloring or crafting . I will play Barbie’s or G.I. Joes if that’s what will make the little one happy. I do whatever I can to keep the children smiling ☺️

Caring for the child like their own parents would do. Keeping the children happy, busy , while also educating them. Making sure they have trust in myself … building that relationship and confidence where they feel “ at home and safe”
My experience with special needs children...
My older brother was born with down syndrome . He is four years older than me. As children we took a class together about siblings that were different from one another . As I grew older i attended speech classes with him. I also became involved in the special Olympics program. Which involves all disabled children to compete fairly against eachother in fun sports. I would volunteer to help with the players, to be their buddy for the competition. I did that for 15 years and still attend and volunteer at my brothers special Olympics events.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have such sweet memories of the kids making me things , crafts , cards, and them just wanting to be around me. That’s the sweetest feeling that I absolutely love .
