A little bit about me

I grew up as a natural caretaker of my younger siblings and cousins, which led me to a career of childhood education! I have a degree in Environmental and Outdoor Education from UMD, and have been working as a preschool teacher for age 2-5 y.o. in the Twin Cities. I am moving back to Duluth in August and am seeking my fourth nanny family! In my free time I love hiking, cooking, and reading books in my hammock. I am open to any age, gender, and duration of childcare. Something long term through the school year and next summer would be ideal! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a preschool teacher at Prestige Preschool Academy in the Twin Cities. I love my job and my kiddos! I am only leaving so I can move back to Duluth and start my graduate program. In the past, I have nannied for three different families during the school year and summer.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

With a degree in Environmental and Outdoor Education, I love to get kids engaged and interested in their natural world. Whether that means riding bikes around the neighborhood or going for a hike and picnic in the woods, or playing on the playground and making crafts with leaves and sticks, I love to incorporate whatever pieces of their outdoor environment that I can into the day.

A nanny should be an extension of the family - someone who is trustworthy, honest, and driven to help your kids succeed.

My experience with special needs children...

My younger brother is on the Autism spectrum, and was my first experience caring for someone with special needs. He really ignited the spark for me to pursue childcare, and I would love to find a family with a special needs child who needs additional childcare help.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love all of the funny one-liners that kids say! They have such active imaginations and I love listening when they are playing house or other make believe games.
