Hello! My name is Mikayla. I am 28 years old. I’m a mom of two, ages 11 and 8. I have over 8 years of experience in child care working as a professional nanny and in childcare centers with children from newborns to 8 year olds, including multiples. Currently I am a nanny. Prior to nannying, I was a teacher in infant and toddler classrooms at a childcare center and an assistant teacher for 3 years at a Head Start Preschool. I am currently in the process of earning a degree in early childhood education.
I have worked all of my years in early childhood education in programs inspired by Reggio Emilia. The Reggio Emilia approach values the belief that children are strong, competent and capable citizens who are full of wonder and curiosity to learn. Additionally I love to adventure, arts and crafts and being creative, being outside and reading!
I am first aid/CPR certified (infant-adult) and take the classes bi-yearly. I am willing to undergo a CORI check and have a perfect driving record!

I started my career in childcare as a floating teacher assistant in a center with all age groups from 0-8. After some professional growth, I moved on to being an assistant teacher for Worcester Public Head Start program. I have worked all of my years in early childhood education in programs inspired by Reggio Emilia. The Reggio Emilia approach values the belief that children are strong, competent and capable citizens who are full of wonder and curiosity to learn. I have hours of training on how to build emerging curriculum and implement child-led/play based learning. I am here to work collaboratively with your child(ren) to help them learn and explore the world around them.
