More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have had paid babysitting experience with three separate families (children aged <1 year old - 10 years old). I also have taught as an Outdoor Educator for Preschool, Elementary School, and Middle School aged children, and currently work as a Bike Guide for children between the ages of 8 and 18.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As someone raised in a holistic-focused education, I absolutely love combining fun education with play. Some of my favorite activities include teaching children about birds and having them spot them, coloring, going on nature walks, reading, and painting (one of my families loved the rock paintings we did!)

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is being engaged and respectful. It is as equally important as safety, child wellbeing, adhering to household rules, and maintaining structure. Engagement and respect mean that not only will the family feel safe, but I will have a chance to really learn about the kids I am babysitting for and engage in their interests while coming up with fun activities to do centered around those.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I taught a brother and sister I was babysitting how to properly handle the baby chicks their parents were raising, and they went on to show me the chicks every sitting evening with massive smiles on their faces!
