More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a nanny since 2003 I worked with a young child who was autistic a young child who had hydrocephalus which affected her behavior I worked with her for six years side by side with a behavioral therapist I usually start when they are baby’s or newborn and care for them and their siblings until I am no longer needed in most cases we have added families who feel safe with me as a nanny so they invite their friends children to nanny share with me or Their families children, I have a cared for twins at one point I had two newborns and 2 year-olds I watch them until they were a little past school-age while I was watching those children at times I added one or two others
I have cared for seven children at a time The youngest being 5
However I prefer between 2-4 children at a time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Any kind of art, Science projects, I like to make gifts, cards or signs for parents family friends for holidays or special events, Games walks throwing ball or Frisbee,
I like to find their interests or talents and go with that of course whatever the parents allows

It’s always best to meet children where they’re at and go from there

I actually love the children as though they’re mine sometimes from day one.
Teaching children about the world inside and outside their home letting them know how it works and guiding them through it I also put a huge emphasis on emotions And talking things through, I am trust line registry approved. And I have many professional references!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked side-by-side with a behavioral therapist for six years With a child with behavioral issues hydrocephalus.
I was worked with a child that Presented as autistic he had a portion of his brain missing he picked up a lot of our behaviors, tics some were from birth. With him it was mostly occupational therapy.
I worked with three children with eating therapy and recently had the opportunity to work with another child with an occupational therapist and behavioral therapist.
