Flexibility and attention. Kids can be tumultuous or have varying needs at different times. They also need to be given attention and know that you’re not just there around them, but to make them feel heard, seen, and safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I used to coach and teach some children with special needs. This is by no means a speciality, I just have had some experience with it without any issues. The kids would usually take well to me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
After a lesson with a student that the parents claimed never had a successful and easy time with another instructor, the child said they loved me and gave me a big hug! I love how kids can be so sweet, pure, and honest.
