I am getting my Masters at Furman starting this summer, but I would love to work some evenings on weekdays and Saturday nights. I just recently got a job at Fairforest Elementary as a 5th grade teacher. I have tons of experience with kids from coaching cheerleading to being a live-in nanny.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have done a lot of fieldwork in elementary and middle school classrooms as a student teacher for the past 4 years. I was also a cheerleading coach for 50+ children ranging from ages 3-11 for 2 years. I was a live-in nanny for a family with 4 kids for multiple years. I have a lot of other babysitting, nannying, and tutoring experience as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts & crafts, schoolwork (I try to make it fun), playing outside (tag, throw balls, bike rides, etc.), playing inside with toys, watching movies or shows but limited as parent wants

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids are being cared for and making sure they enjoy spending time with me. I think it is important to always have fun as a nanny and make sure your kids are happy.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a nanny for a child with ADHD and mild autism. I also student taught a classes with students that get extra care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was helping my kids during Covid with their homework/classwork and they thanked me for making it fun. The tears my kiddos had as they had to move away after spending years with me as their in-home nanny. It was bittersweet and I still get a FaceTime call every holiday.
