A little bit about me

Hi there!

My name is Molly. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado and now currently reside in the Lakewood area. I am an elementary ed major. I taught 4th grade during college residency and have been a pre - k teacher the last two years. I have worked with children of all ages since my young teens and have experience with infants - middle school. I am currently taking a break from teaching in the hopes of starting a company with my sister. The process has taken longer than we hoped so I am looking for a part time position in the meantime.

If you are interested please reach out! I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Kindly, Molly

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I majored in elementary ed with a minor in psych, and was fortunate enough to work in a fourth grade classroom. I taught pre-k for two years at a small town mountain school, and loved each of my kiddos like they were my own. My pre- k classroom consisted of 3-5 year olds. I have privately Nannied for several families with a range of ages. I also worked at a preschool in high school mainly in the infant and toddler room!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting out of the house and taking kiddos to fun activities like the park, aquarium, zoo, museums and libraries. When home I am happy to work on activities that support children’s development. Whether that be fine motor skills for those littles or math and English for those growers!

I live a good movie night and board games too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Fostering relationships and allowing parents to face the day to day struggles with support. Building bonds with kiddos that ensure proper growth and positive relationships with others. Educating, loving, providing and protecting. Helping set routines and supporting littles who are figuring out how to be human!

My experience with special needs children...

I do have some experience with special needs children. As noted I taught fourth grade and was exposed to students with a range of abilities and gifts!

I have not had much experience with non verbal students or handicap but am a quick learner!

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a teacher I believed routine and structure was a huge part of helping my classroom run smoothly. This was something I learned early on and something I truly believe helped me as an educator. Nap time was something I mastered in my pre-k room. I consistently had parents come in for conferences where I was able to compliment their child’s ability to nap and often times was met with “my child naps for you?!” “How?!” This has always made me chuckle.
