Thank you for the opportunity to work with your family. I have always loved to care for others since I was young from my pets to my siblings when they had a cold. When I was 12 years old I began babysitting during the summer at my former babysitter's daycare. I have continued to build my skills in child care throughout the years. I am currently a co-teacher at an environmental preschool. I through these experiences that I have a passion for teaching young minds and love helping children thrive. With experience at both in-home and school settings I have a vide variety of skills and abilities to meet the needs of many families. I approach child care with gentleness and discipline to prepare the children for success by utilizing loving words, encouragement of honesty and good character, and saying yes as much as possible so a “no” is clearly understood as a protection for the child to make them feel safe and cared for. Of course, all in all, I try to make everything fun and full of life. Creating a consistent routine that incorporates fun, learning, exploration of life and developmentally appropriate experiences to encourage curiosity has been great for many children I’ve worked with in the past but my number one priority is working as a team with parents to foster an environment that will support their child or teen the best.
