More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over three years of experience in childcare, including two wonderful years as a live-in Au Pair in Washington, D.C. [phone number hidden] and 7 yo, one year as a live-in Nanny (2016) 7 yo twins, and part-time roles with various families since then included toddlers.
I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, and a bit of Italian—so I’d be more than happy to speak with or teach your children in any of these languages!
In addition to childcare, I’m happy to help with light housekeeping, laundry, and preparing meals.
I’m looking for a position where I can feel happy going to work every day and connect with a family that treats me like one of their own.
If you think I might be a good fit, I’d love to connect!
Please feel free to reach out to schedule an interview. You can contact me at +[phone number hidden] (WhatsApp available).
Wishing you a wonderful day, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Warm regards,
Mónica Johnson

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When I’m with kids, I like to keep things fun, creative, and active—whether we’re hanging out indoors or playing outside. I try to mix things up so they get a little bit of everything: creativity, movement, learning, and just plain fun.
If we’re indoors, I love doing arts and crafts. Painting, building with playdoo, making cards—anything that lets kids get creative. I also really enjoy baking or cooking simple things with them, like cookies or mini pizzas. They love helping out
But I’m just as enthusiastic about outdoor play. I love taking kids on nature walks, where we can talk about the trees, birds, and bugs we see
Bike rides, trips to the playground, or playing games like tag and soccer
And when the weather is warm, we cool off with water play!
Overall, I love creating an environment where kids feel free to explore, create, and play indoors or out.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most ridiculous—but also sweetest—moments I’ve had while babysitting was with a little girl who just couldn’t quite understand why I didn’t speak English perfectly.
One day, she looked at me with this super serious face and asked, “Why do you talk funny?” I tried to explain that English wasn’t my first language, but that just made her more confused.
Her mom later explained to her that I was still learning English, and that seemed to click for her—but in the funniest way possible.
From then on, she took it very seriously that she was my personal English teacher. Every day she would “teach” me new words She’d repeat the words slowly, like I was 100 years old, and quiz me on them later.
Honestly, it was hilarious—but also kind of touching. It turned into this funny little game between us, and I think it helped us bond even more.
I was the babysitter, but she loved the idea that she was the one teaching me something important.
