Hi, my name is Monica Chavez and I am a recent Psychology grad from the University of Florida. I've worked with young kiddos for a total of 6 years now. I began with tutoring young kids (1.5 years) to working at a pool as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (3 years) to having my own Private Swim Instructor side job (5 years) where I taught people ranging from 6 months to 40 years old. I absolutely love working with others, especially energetic (and super honest) youngsters.

Some of my hobbies include swimming (duh), playing sports, anything outdoorsy like hiking, cooking and playing board games. I love reading and learning new skills.

I first started as a tutor during high school for kids ranging from 6 years to 12 years old. Later, I became a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor for 3 years where I would ensure everyone's safety in and around the pool as well as teach swim lessons to individuals ranging from 6 months to 40 years. While working at the pool and throughout university I gave private swim lessons to numerous people of all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing anything outside like going to a park, hiking, checking out farms and playing sports. As for indoor activities, anything ranging from movie nights to board games to puzzles and baking.

The most important part about being a nanny...

First and foremost ensuring the safety of the child. In the car, at home, public events and everywhere else maintaining safety is number one. Second most important would be creating a fun, caring and learning-filled environment.
