The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting bond with both the kids and their family. It’s about creating a safe space where the child feels loved, supported, and understood. I believe in being there for them, not just as a caregiver, but as someone they can rely on and feel comfortable with. It’s such a rewarding feeling to see them grow, learn, and achieve milestones, knowing I’ve played a part in their journey. Connecting with each child individually and offering encouragement along the way is what makes this job so special to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive experience working with children with special needs. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I worked in autism clinics, implementing behavior therapy and supporting children with autism. Additionally, I provide direct assistance to a family with children who have mental challenges, helping with daily activities and care. I also serve as a Paraeducator, supporting children with special needs in educational settings, fostering their learning and development. This combination of roles has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set in supporting children with diverse needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when the child I was caring for won his first golf tournament. I had been there every step of the way, supporting him during practice and helping him stay focused. Seeing his hard work pay off and watching the pride on his face as he received his trophy was incredibly rewarding. It was a moment of pure joy, and I felt so proud to be part of his journey and success.
