Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Throughout, the school year I worked as a nanny for three grade school kiddos! I helped them out with their homework and school projects. I would also spend time with them outside doing outdoor activities such as playing basketball and riding bikes. The Vaquera Family will always hold a special place in my heart due to their great sense of empathy and understanding.
I was also part of an internship program at BHS called Instructional Practices in Education and Training. This program consisted of going down to the elementary school. When I would go down to the elementary school, I would help the third-grade teachers with one-on-one reading time and grading papers. My experience with special needs children...
In my last job as a nanny, I cared for a special need eight-year-old girl. She was extremely smart and sweet! She loved to solve addition and subtraction problems! I remember going through multiple stacks of papers and flashcards. Although, my time caring for her was full of rollercoasters, I'm very thankful for the opportunity I was given.
