Chalk, painting/coloring, tag, hide and seek, dancing, singing, colors/number/shapes, encourage outdoor play, find bugs, collect cool rocks, play in the mud, play with the water hose, imagination. You name it, I can do it!
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me about being a nanny is the wellbeing of the children, along with the comfort of the parents knowing that their children are with somebody whom they can trust and count on. When it comes to children, I always strive to be the person that I needed when I was younger. Children are people too, with their own inner worlds, thoughts, feelings, and perspective. My goal as a nanny would be to make children feel comfortable, seen and heard, along with giving the parents a break, which I know is very much needed at times.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not currently had any experience with special needs children. However, I am ready and willing to learn and I believe that I have the compassion and patience to handle any situation given to me.
