A little bit about me

Hello!! I'm Morgan...I'm 24 and currently finishing my Bachelor of Arts in English (language) and Literature with a minor in creative writing (which is one of my passions!). I have always had an inkling to help people however and have spent my time after graduating high school doing so. I spent 3 years working with the elderly where one woman in particular inspired me to follow my dreams of traveling abroad. Therefore after a small Eurotrip, I settled in Milan (Italy) for 2 years where I became the live-in nanny for 2 wonderful children. I became inspired by my two Italian children to go back to university and study what I've always wanted to which put me on a new life path I never thought to be on. After living in Paris for a year, my boyfriend (Italian) and I decided to go back to Milan where I just had a 3 month internship at a nursery school (which uses the Reggio Children Approach). I have a great passion for this work and would really love to be a part of your family's growth!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I recently just finished an internship at a Nursery School in Milan Italy where in the future I will become an English Teacher. During that time, I moved around from the nursery of 1 years old, worked primarily with the class of 3 year olds, also in the mista class of 3-5 years, and also subbed in the 5 year old class. I also was responsible to lead an English class on mondays for a small group of 1-2 year olds. This school utilizing the "Reggio Children" Approach.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am an English Lit major with a minor in Creative Writing, I love creating stories with children as they have the most intriguing imaginations. I also love encouraging them to choose what they want to do in order to feel a sense of independence meanwhile engaging them to discover further their interests. I love playing outside and think it is super important for a child to do so.

I can't think of one particular moment for every child I've worked with has touched my heart. Though the moment I felt really able to speak to the children was during circle time at the nursery school in my class of 30 3y.o's and I had (without exaggeration) 6 children sitting on my lap at once...but this wasn't a one time thing, it became an every day occurrence whether at circle time or during the time after lunch where the children would have their bread in the garden.
