In high school I worked with 2 year olds in a classroom setting. I have worked in a daycare and cared for 3 infants under 7 months and helped with the toddles. I also have been babysitting for families for 4 years.

I like engaging with the things they already love. In past jobs I've played video games with kids, simple house games, playing outside if they're old enough to. If it is infants, then I would keep them entertained either my self or with he help of a good sensory video.
My experience with special needs children...
I have only worked with one autistic child and it was a very good experience. I am very patient with children so I can handle more difficult tasks that may be required of me.
