I have five years of experience working in a childcare retail environment at Once Upon a Child, where I regularly worked with parents and gained strong knowledge of children’s equipment, supplies, and safety needs. I also worked as a summer childcare counselor, where I was responsible for supervising 6–9 children at a time during an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift. I often worked independently, and at times had additional support when a child in my group required accommodations due to a disability.In this role, I ensured the children were safe, engaged, and well cared for through both indoor and outdoor activities. I was also responsible for administering proper medication to children when needed, following. instructions and safety guidelines. I closely monitored each child’s well-being, addressed any injuries promptly, and documented incidents or concerns for my supervisor so parents could be informed.
