The most important part about being a nanny...
Nurturing. Listening. Helping to build children up and help them grow up to be wonderful, even if I was a tiny part in their journey through life. Caring for each child as if they were my own. Also, treating and caring for them the way I’d want a caregiver to be if I had children. Secondly, because I’ve a been live-in, boundaries and respect of the family’s home and space and private time. Although, I’d say the most crucial aspect of being a successful/happy nanny and also finding one is making sure there is clear, direct, and open communication/dialogue with each other. The dynamic can be a little challenging as it is- trying to assimilate with a family that isn’t your own in a personal/domestic way (and vice versa) while still maintaining a healthy “working” relationship. On both ends. Respect and being communicative !!

Odd, add, adhd, slight autism, developmentally delayed, and mental health related. Anxiety, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This is too broad! Funny? Not fun at the time but laughable now? I’ll do both then. Funny wasn’t probably when I had my first diaper changing experience as a nanny. To this day it shocks me how bad I was at it and how it never looked so hard when I had ever seen it done 😂 not fun at the moment, totally laughable now, was my first time having to deal with a 7 year old that refused to go to school. Being a nanny, and new to that particular family I couldn’t very well throw the child over my shoulder. Had to call their principle, who apparently has more of an authoritative presence than I at the time, and help carry the 7 year old to school. 😂😂😂
