I have four younger siblings, the youngest being two, so I have experience with all ages in that regard. I also worked in church childcare for a few years in every age group and have babysat for multiple families over the years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing games, reading, doing crafts, watching movies, going on walks, anything related to being outside, etc. Pretty much anything that sounds fun to the kids is good with me as long as it’s safe!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny outside of fulfilling all of a child’s physical needs, is making sure they are supported emotionally and always feel loved and cared for.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t personally taken care of special needs children, but I grew up with a boy who was deaf and a girl with low-functioning autism so I am aware of the needs for children with similar conditions.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is when I hadn’t seen one of the kids I took care of over the weekend, and when I walked in Monday morning, he immediately ran over and jumped into my arms to hug me, looked at me with a huge grin on his face, then hugged me even tighter. It was very sweet and adorable.
