I babysit a 4 year old toddler and a 5 month old baby. I’m good with any age group though. Taking care of children are kind of like a second nature for me because I’ve been doing it since I was 9 years old.

I love going outside and plying a little soccer or just running around with the children while keeping them at near me. Indoors we can make little snacks together or draw together. Whatever they enjoy really. I can be a very active person if they want to play for a while.

I feel as though the most important part of being a nanny is understanding the child you’re taking care of. know their likes and dislikes and know what bothers them. Also interact with the child, play with them, try to make a connection.
My experience with special needs children...
I used to help special needs kids in school everyday. I would get pulled out of class to go to a different class to kind of just talk with them or play games like making puzzles or playing a board game. Nothing too noisy that it disturbs them. I used to sit with the special needs kids at lunch sometimes just to talk.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when the child, baby, or toddler get all giddy and loves to laugh at anything or make jokes. Or when they just get all calm and want to watch t.v for a couple of minutes.
