I have been taking care of children since I was 12 years old and worked on a children's unit in a hospital. I owned and operated my own day care for 15 years. Here in Texas I have helped many families transition their children from the home to school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love both indoor and outdoor activities. Children are constantly moving and it is the nanny's responsibility to keep their minds and bodies moving and growing. Music and dance, arts and crafts, manipulative, cognitive, and sensory play are all important. Outdoor activities should include the park, walks, swim, and special outings are enjoyed. Other fun activities are story time at the local library and places like the Little Gym where children can explore. My utmost favorite and important activity is reading!!!

I can say with positivity is that the most important part of being a nanny is to ensure that the child is eating healthy, growing and learning through play and proper guidance, keeping them safe, secure, happy, and loved!
