More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been in Early Childhood Education as an assistant and as a lead teacher for 21 years. I have also developed & taught my own art, engineering, and science workshops for 6 years. I retired before Covid and became a caregiver for a loving family with 2 toddlers. That family grew with the addition of another boy during Covid. My background enabled me to create and implement an engaging & learning routine.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am pretty active and enjoysharing my interests: all types of games, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, playground equipment, running, museums, parks, music/dancing, bird watching, painting, volunteering, rollerskating, pickleball, corn hole, golf, cooking, and libraries are my favorite place.

The most important part is not one, but everything. It's showing grace, patience, kindness, respect, and modeling positive behavior. That's just the beginning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The toddler I am currently caring for is enamored with all things Pepper Pig. It had rained the day before we went to the park. He was on a tire swing and fell through the middle into a bit of mud as he tried to get himself off. He looked at me as I got down on my knees to retrieve him and I exclaimed he was just like Pepper & George playing in muddy puddles! This made him giggle. The both of us were a sight as we walked to my car.
