The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about being a nanny is to be able to patiently and slowly understand a child in everything that they do. But the MOST important part about being a nanny is being a friend. When a kid has a good friend, they will seek good friends, and that is in perspective of loyalty, faith, sharing, give and take, equality and communication. A nanny can only be in a child life for so long, so it's important for a nanny to set the example of what a good friendship is.

One time I went to go visit my nephew, my niece was only a baby at the time and couldn't play yet. My nephew being 3 at the time he loves cars and sports. We were shooting his small basketballs into his small little hoop. I who was also an athlete saw that the ball was going to go in and reading his body language, I timed myself with his cheer. We threw our arms up and shouted "YEEEEEAAAAHHH!!!!" super loudly. My nephew looked at me with a huge smile and I smiled brightly back. His father, my brother-in-law was watching us while fixing the room with my sister. The father chuckled and told his wife, "see babe, we're suppose to be like that".
It was at this moment that I realized that you had to be a kid to befriend a kid and that his parents who were too busy being parents, yearned for that connection.
I'm not a parent so I don't know what it means to be a parent and how much it takes to be one.
