Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I would often babysit a few kids around the neighborhood and I’m a regular babysitter for my cousins. I’ve had jobs here and there and I’m still learning but kids love me so why not make that into a career😂
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m really big into making crafts. I have a lot of fun, creative and easy crafts I do with children. Of course right after art time we will practice cleaning up and leaving the place better than we found it. I’m extremely passionate about nature so your kids and I will be outside a lot! Whether is going on a walk or playing out in the yard there is always something to do if you are outside. Hopefully your kids like to draw because drawing competitions are my favorite! someone randomly chooses something to draw and we put our imagination to work. The kids always win though😂 It’s very important to do your homework right after school while your brain is still ripe. I like to make a little healthy snack like ants on a log for the children. I love to listen to music and dance so hopefully your kid can bust a move. Like I said before I’m very creative and I never get bored because I can always find something to entertain myself and the children. Like making flower crowns. Those are fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think one of the most important things is being a good person. Your influences is so important on children so even when you think they aren’t learning from you they are. Be kind, show love, show how to process and accept your feelings and always no matter how mad you are at something take a deep breath and show them how to deal with anger in a peaceful manner. Also being with the children the whole time you are looking after them. Some nanny’s will just put on a movie to occupy the children. Not me. I will always find something do to have fun. I am present and I will always be present.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have a whole lot of experience but I’m a fast learner and I’m very patient.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I just love to see smiles. This little girl I was babysitting would come up to me a day I love you Nani. That was her favorite things to say. I get exhausted pretty easily but when I remember who I do this for I wake up immediately and I get energy to last me a lifetime.
