A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Naomi. I am 22 years old and am a part time college student as well as working towards completing my EMT certification. I have no formal experience as a nanny, but have babysat several kids who were between 4 and 12 before. I also teach private violin lessons currently to two seven year olds. I also have experience giving swim lessons and taught 6-12 year olds how to swim at health trax last summer. I am CPR and BLS certified. I am also fluent in Japanese (my family is Japanese) and can speak intermediate Spanish. I enjoy cooking and personally keep a healthy vegetarian diet and eat lots of fruits and veggies. I also have experience cooking meat though as I cooked for my former client as a caregiver. I really look forward to meeting you and your family and hope we are a great fit.☺️

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy swimming, taking hikes outdoors as well as arts and crafts and board games in the colder months. I personally am an avid swimmer and would love to go with your kids.

I also am open to relaxing evenings indoors once in a while, maybe watching a cartoon with a child while having dessert.

The most important part about being a nanny is helping a child develop in the most beneficial way for them. I’d say it’s to help parents teach their children to grow into well rounded human beings by helping them discover themselves through interests, and also holding their hand through the emotional and physical hurdles life can throw your direction.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve never been a nanny per say, but there was this once instance where I was teaching a three year old how to swim. At the beginning of the summer she barely wanted to get her feet wet because she was afraid of the water. Over the days I slowly coaxed her into the water by having her go down one step at a time and putting a pool toy on the step below. The first time she fully got in the pool she jumped in my arms and said “THAT WASNT SCARY”. It was so cute and from that day forward I had to remind her not to run while she was getting in the pool.
