More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been caring for children of all ages and abilities for 7 years now, most of my work has been with siblings and in-home. For 2 years I volunteered as an activities leader for children with disabilities, mainly with Down's Syndrome and Autism. Additionally, I was a teacher's aide in an ESL (English as a Second Language) class my senior year of high school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
While inside I like to bake/cook, watch movies, build forts, draw/paint, and play with toys. Being outside is my favorite! I love to draw with chalk, ride bikes/scooters/skateboards, go for picnics, and explore the woods around us.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me is that I help to raise strong, kind, and independent young people. I aim to enrich the lives of all of the children I care for by exposing them to language, music, new ideas, and genuine love.
My experience with special needs children...
I have limited experience with special needs children, I am very familiar with ADHD and somewhat familiar with Autism and DS.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have worked with 4 siblings for about 5 years now, so we've had many great moments. One of my favorite things about nannying for these kids is hearing them tell me they love me when I put them to bed at night.
