I have been a babysitter and nanny for over ten years. Even before that I was watching kids at my church, and shepherding younger kids to and from different activities and then over ten years ago I started babysitting a couple neighbor kids. Later, I was a nanny for twin 5 year old boys for a couple years, and babysat children in the M.O.P.S. program at my church whenever possible. Throughout college I babysat a 4 year old, and then I babysat three children, 4, 2, and 1 last fall. The last five summers I have had the opportunity to work at Camp, a residential camp affiliated with the Church. For three summers I was a small-group counselor for children grades 1-12, and one summer I was the Day Camp Director for children in grades 1-6. I have also helped with other programs such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Safety Town. For many years I also volunteered at Camp as an aid and then as a counselor after I had previously been a camper there since Kindergarten. This camp served girls from K to 6th grade. I currently am an after-school nanny for two school aged boys, and then a morning babysitter for a 9 month old baby girl. All these various experiences have taught me how to engage, play, and entertain children, while also supervising them. I enjoy reading stories, playing games, coloring and doing crafts, cooking and baking, as well as cleaning up after a fun day.
