The Taylor Family - Hiring in Alexandria
The Taylor Family
Landmark, Alexandria$16/hr  |  1 kid
Hi there!

We are the Taylor family and have recently settled in Virginia after spending several years living overseas. We look forward to meeting you!

We are a fun-loving family looking for a nanny to care for our 16-month-old daughter full-time. Our baby girl loves to read, play outside, swim, jump on the trampoline, and pet every dog she can find! She is cheerful, occasionally shy, always sweet and is learning tons of new words. We hope to find a nanny who is ready to stay with us long-term, for at least 2 years, or until our daughter is ready for pre-school. The ideal candidate would naturally love to be with children and will genuinely enjoy being with our daughter. We expect the nanny to take initiative in coming up with ideas of things to do with our daughter (crafts, singing, reading, library trips, going to the playground). In addition, being comfortable in the kitchen is a necessity, as the nanny would be expected to prep healthy lunches and snacks for our daughter, as well as simple dinners for the family.

Other tasks could include grocery runs and light housekeeping (such as laundry, kitchen cleanup, sweeping, and in general - picking up around the house).

The ideal candidate must have a few years of experience, a genuine love for children, strong references and reliable transportation. Must not smoke, use drugs or drink alcohol on the job.

Working days and hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm (some flexibility can be discussed).

Samantha is a very caring person. She saved me in a time where I just didn’t know how to be a mom, at the time. I never had any problems with her and my schedule was hectic but she worked with me. I had an infant, a 3 year old and a 6 year old at the time and she balanced everything at such a young age! I was in disbelief! Your little one is in great hands! - Martina Scott
