Hello, My name is Megan and I am 18 years old. I am looking for a live in position ideally. I have been a camp counselor since I was 15, working at various xx such as xx, xx, xx etc. The typical ages cared for within these summer fun camps are usually between 2 and 12. I feel lucky to have this experience considering it gave me such a variety of people to work with. I also currently work at the xx caring for children ages 3, 4, 5 & 6 after their head-start program. I also work on Mill Rd. (at a child care center) occasionally taking care of infants while their parents are at work. I have also been a nanny full time, 9 hours a day 5 days a week, for a toddler. Additionally, I have copious amounts of experience babysitting for years and genuinely enjoy it. I have always had a special place in my heart for children and will hopefully incorporate that into my professional studies at college!! I am generally described as really outgoing, bubbly, energetic, and down to earth. I would like to think I am responsible and competent, and feel that being reliable and dependent is key to successful relationships, particularly when it comes to child care. Additionally, I am great with around the house chores, meal preparation, and would be more than happy to provide updates on your kids and home while you are away! I am always willing to try a new game or explore any activity your child might be interested in. Currently, I enjoy arts and crafts, dance, sports, and reading. I really enjoy being outdoors as well as playing games inside. I'd also be more than willing to help with any sports, music, or homework help! I've taken honors and AP classes for all four years in high school and have enjoyed tutoring in the past. Additionally, I have been on both club and varsity teams for soccer, basketball, swim, & cheerleading. I have my license and can provide transportation with a spotless driving record and can also provide a background check. I am CPR certified. I would be more than happy to provide any additional information or answer any questions you might have. Thanks so much!

I am an easygoing person who enjoys the simple things in life. I pride myself on my integrity and honesty. I adore spending time with children and have 7 years of experience caring for toddlers and infants. I have experience in many areas of caring. I have 2 children of my own, so I am excellent with children and babies and always treat them like they are my own. I have a natural way with children and they always enjoy me as much as I enjoy them. I have also been a housekeeper for several families who have loved my work (some still ask if I'll come back). The homes I keep are always spotless and organized. I am VERY good at keeping things organized and tidy as well as CLEAN! And I have also cared for my aging uncle and aunt and held 2 senior care positions and enjoyed and did very well at those, also. Not only am I patient, caring and nurturing, I am also extremely organized and very detailed when it comes to housework. I actually enjoy tidying up while the children are napping or playing. I have worked with families with one child as well as families with multiple children. I feel comfortable watching many children at one time. Although I love working with all ages, I am especially drawn towards children 0-4 years old. I am very experienced in my field and also possess several certifications including: CPR (including infants), First Aid, as well as RN certified. I have been working with children for the past 14 years in the position of babysitters, nanny, daycare director and preschool/daycare teacher. I have worked with all ages from newborn to 12 years old. I love working with children and getting to know them and their individual personalities. I also enjoy watching children grow and learn, helping them as they grow and face new challenges in school and life in general.

Since 2008, I have worked as a nanny for two families. One family is recently retired U.S. Army, and has two sons- ages 10 and 12- one of whom suffers from bipolar disorder and other behavioral issues. The other family consists of nine children, ages 1 through 13 years old- all of whom vary in needs and abilities. For both families I have offered exceptional care and assistance in the development of each child, provided laser-focus and good judgement on providing for their individual need, maintained a safe, and happy home environment, and proved to be a team player amongst the parents in helping them to execute the daily routine and overall family goals. Under the umbrella of nannying, my skill set includes: tutoring/coaching, cooking, house cleaning, and other various jobs as mother's assistance. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. Outside of nannying for these wonderful families, I work as a preschool teacher for a local children's program in Alexandria.

I have been an aspiring teacher for years now. I love working with children of all ages. I started at an in-home preschool in high school, caring for infants thru 5-year olds. I then began taking a credited course in high-school that was made for aspiring teachers like myself. During this two-year course, I observed and worked hands-on in numerous classrooms ranging from preschool to middle school. I did two internships during this time, and gained much child development experience. I also served as an after-school nanny to a kindergarten boy, with occasional meal prep and light-housekeeping as duties. I currently work at a state-licensed preschool as an assistant in a four-year old classroom. I have been in this position since October 2014. I am grateful to have had so many positive experiences in the childcare field. I have many references to provide as well.

What are some common responsibilities for nannies in Alexandria, KY?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met. This includes things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active, that they have a healthy diet and a sanitary home.
