We are a family with 2 boys looking for a full time, live out nanny (30-35 hours per week) to start in September. My oldest is entering 2nd grade and will need to be supervised while completing virtual learning. My youngest is 3 years old and requires some light structured activities from home that will be provided.

The Harar Family

My daughter is a sweetheart. She’s in preschool until 2022 when she begins kindergarten. She’ll have half day of school 3 days a week. My smart son is in Kindergarten and is largely gone throughout the day. I’m looking for someone to take them to school at 7:30 am and then pick them up at 11:30 (her) and 3pm (him). She also has ballet one day a week. The hours are 7:30-4:15pm. I’d also appreciate meal prep for school lunch, snacks and kids’ laundry. They’ve been watched until now by a stay-at-home mom and her two children so they’re very social. We’re looking for someone with a car and drivers license.

My husband and I are working professionals, and he travels for work about 1-2 weeks a month. We both take the train to work, so we are looking for someone who is able to come to our home in Alexandria.

We have a 1yr daughter, Morgan, and are expecting our second child this July. Thus, we are looking for someone to start September/October when I go back to work.

Morgan is a very outgoing, happy child. She loves to laugh, dance, and meeting new people. On walks, she is constantly waving at everyone that we pass. Her favorite artists are Aretha Franklin and Ariana Grande. Morgan is close to walking but confidently climbs stairs and is constantly on the move.

Flexibility is very important to us, especially when Brian is on travel. Typical schedule will be normal working hours (8-5), but we are flexible with this. Also, a plus would be someone who could work until 6:30 on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays so that we may attend a yoga class at our gym. Our nanny should be able to climb a flight of stairs and also be comfortable with dogs (we have a small very friendly dog).

Our family leads an active lifestyle. Brian and I run long distance races; we love to go hiking/camping; and can often be found in out in VA winecountry. We also travel both domestically as well as internationally.

We also have a second home in Hilton Head, SC that is walking distance to the beach. Although not a requirement, a plus would be someone who is able to, on occasion, travel with us there in a work/vacation capacity.

We are looking for a full time nanny for our active toddler (15 months old). Care would be in our home – we have a large yard and live in a safe, walkable neighborhood. Our daughter loves being outdoors and music – We try to limit screen time -- I am hoping to find someone who will engage her with outdoor play, singing songs, reading , creative play etc.

A few things (I’ve learned to mention these upfront!):

1. We are looking for someone who is taking social distancing seriously

2. You will need your own transportation – I am not comfortable with someone taking rideshares or public transportation (because of COVID)

3. It is important that we be able to use a payroll service to pay you, with federal and state taxes withheld.

4. We have a dog – he is very friendly and low key. We ask that you let him out into the yard a few times daily.

5. Both my husband and I work from home – but will be out of the way – the whole 1st floor is “babyland” for the nanny and our daughter.

6. We are looking for 40 hours a week – with Monday and Tuesday 8am-5:30pm, and then Wed-Friday are a little more flexible, but in general
Wednesday 8:00-5, Thursday 8-2 and Friday 8-2.

7. We are looking for someone who will do some light housework – wash dishes, load and unload dishwasher, put away food, wipe down table and counters, laundry (move loads through cycle and fold) and food preparation for child
