The Schnekser Family - Hiring in Chesapeake

Hourly rate15.00 / hour
Number of children1 kid

Looking for an in-home nanny for our 4 year old son in the afternoons, 4-5 days a week, during the hours roughly of 11am-4pm. Some days may be longer but those will be scheduled in advance. (There may also be room for those hours to expand in the future, if desired.)

We're looking for someone upbeat and energetic who can provide fun, educational + engaging activity and supervise meal time, while I work from home. Physical activity is really important right now - we’re noticing he doesn’t sleep well if he’s not tired out, so we’d love someone who is happy to go on excursions around the neighborhood, to the park, children’s museum, library, and other fun places!

Imaginative activity, reading books, and playing with trains are all what our son loves - we prefer to limit tv time, so we’d love if you can keep him entertained and engaged in other ways.

Light housework (cleaning up after meals/play time, folding laundry) would be a plus, as would finding someone who is willing to run small errands (running to the post office, getting groceries..)

We’d love to build a connection with someone who can stay part of our family for some time!

We have two friendly dogs, so you must be comfortable around pets!

Looking for a FULL time NANNY for my three boys that are 7, 5, and 3. One goes to GFE and rides the bus. The middle will start next fall. I'm a nurse and my husband is deployed. My schedule involves 3-4 shifts a week working from 6am-8pm and every third weekend your shift would fall on a Sat and Sun.

Requirements around the house I'd need done are meal preparations for the kids, dishes done that the kids used that day, only occasional laundry (again kids) when I've worked three days in a row, and like general kitchen pick up. The kids should be prompted to clean up their own mess. We have two cats and 6 chickens (you will never have to mess with the chickens lol). The cats do cuddle.

We have three children, ages 9, 3, and 18mos. After being a stay-at-home mom for the last year and a half, I'm ready to return to work! Our oldest is in school and will require very little care compared to the younger two. Our 3yo daughter is VERY friendly and precocious and we have tried to maximize her ability to be so social by putting her in a, sort of, pre-preschool program that she loves. Finally, our 18mos son is just the sweetest little guy; he can be slow to warm up to people but he's already very loving and generous and also has a quick mind and great sense of humor. All three of our kids are very smart for their ages and it's important to us that whomever we choose to bring in to care for them will also be invested in supporting their curiosity and creativity and challenging them in ways that will teach them how to efficiently use the knowledge that they have.
