The Cole Family - Hiring in Gainesville
The Cole Family
Gainesville$16/hr  |  1 kid
Hello! We are a small family looking for help with our baby (Coraline b. June ‘22) starting in December with a few hours a week and then regular hours beginning in January when our respective leaves end. We are looking into day care beginning no earlier than July ‘23 but are open to extending in home care longer depending on both Coraline and our caregivers needs.

Our family: Enya (mom), Jeff (dad), Coraline, our two dogs Brody and Stormy, and our cat Henry. We are hoping to find someone who is pet friendly and even enjoys playing with the critters as they need some love too. The dogs love having toys tossed for them, playing games, and being very silly.

Both Enya and Jeff telework once their leave ends, Enya full time and Jeff part time. We have meetings that require our full attention during our telework but we are otherwise available for help and questions. We have separate offices in home and will occasionally be offsite entirely.

Expectations: Coraline will be the primary focus. She will be close to six months when we bring in an additional caregiver so we are looking for someone who has experience with age 5 mo - 1 year. She will need age appropriate naps and enrichment. Limited to no tv/tablets. We would love it if you are familiar with Elimination Communication (EC) but that isn’t a deal breaker.

Light housework: related to Coraline - help with her laundry (we cloth diaper but I can walk you through this - it’s way easier than you might expect) and cleaning up after her and her dishes. There is no expectation that you will be doing any other housework that isn’t related to Coraline.

Our preference is for a 7am start and end around 3pm. We are still working out what our schedules will look like in the new year so we have some flexibility. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are required and we ask that if you need a day off you try to schedule it for Thursday or Friday.

This is a great job for someone starting out!
