A little bit about me

Hi, my name is NaStassija Jackson and I have worked in childcare for about 8 years! I have watched family members as well as worked at daycares. I am a former Lead Teacher, Daily substitute teacher, RISE after school tutor, and Teachers assistant. I have taught kids from the ages of 6months to the ages of 16. I enjoy working with kids of all ages, but I like to go as far as middle school because I believe in molding children! Before they reach high school; when they start to figure themselves out more; I would like to leave a positive impact in some sort of way to mold them into a better person. I love kids! I love watching kids learn in different ways! I’ve always believed that even the teacher can learn from their students. I believe in giving redirection, but also allowing the child to be creative and innovative.

I enjoy reading books and keeping them engaged, dance parties, learning letters and number, learning to write your numbers and letters, learning shapes, learning how to participate in interactive activities, using your fine motor skills by building and playing with different toys. I also enjoy going outdoors and enjoying the nature and using sensory skills to understand nature.

I have cared for special needs kids from the ages of 7-65! Providing medicine, meals, assiting with daily activities, going for daily walks, playing games, making sure they are comfortable with the task/activity at hand.
