A little bit about me

I began working with children with special needs in 2021 as a Significant Support Needs (SSN) paraprofessional and have since worked with children from preschool through high school in both school and daycare settings. I'm currently earning my degree in Early Childhood Education and am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified. I have experience caring for twins, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, and I'm passionate about creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. As a mom of three, including 2-year-old twin boys and a 3-year-old daughter, I understand the joys and challenges of caring for little ones! Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe children learn best through play-based learning. I enjoy creating sensory activities and teaching real-life skills through fun, hands-on experiences like cooking, baking, and age-appropriate cleaning tasks. I love making homemade playdough, baking cookies, drawing, painting, and doing arts and crafts together. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, running, playing games, and incorporating heavy-work activities that support children's physical development and sensory needs. My goal is to create a fun, engaging environment where children can learn and explore!

The most important part of being a nanny is having the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life. I love helping children reach new milestones and achieve goals Watching them grow, learn, and discover what they're capable of is the most rewarding part of working with children.

My experience with special needs children...

Through my work as both an ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) and SSN (Significant Support Needs) paraprofessional, I've supported children with a wide range of developmental, behavioral, and physical needs. My experience includes working with children with autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, and other individualized learning needs. I believe every child deserves patience, respect, and care that meets them where they are. I work closely with each child's unique strengths and needs to help them feel safe, supported, and successful.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are watching children reach new milestones. Seeing their confidence grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and watching them realize what they're capable of is one of the most rewarding parts of working with children.
