More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were working in a daycare with infants and toddlers (3 months–2 years), spending 3 summers as a camp counselor teaching kids how to play sports, and babysitting for 7 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy with children include coloring, drawing, playing sports and games, reading stories, doing crafts, and going on little adventures—whether that’s exploring outside, going for walks, or discovering something new together. I love finding creative, active, and hands-on ways to keep kids engaged and having fun while learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where kids feel cared for and supported. It’s not just about helping with daily routines—it’s about being someone children can trust, learn from, and have fun with while giving parents peace of mind. To me, being a nanny means becoming a positive and reliable part of the family’s life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments while working with kids was being in the infant room and watching little ones take their very first steps. Seeing how much they had grown—from being so tiny to reaching that milestone—and knowing I was part of their journey was incredibly special.

Valerie R. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Part-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Valerie R.

I am Retired from the San Mateo County sheriffs forensic lab with a masters degree. Once retired I chose to work with a family for seven years, even living with them full-time during the Covid shut down to help with homeschooling for their three children ages 4,8,and 10. At the end of 2020 I moved to San Diego where I worked for a family with an 18 month old little girl I’ve stayed with that family until she entered first grade. I am looking for a family that needs someone part time possibly 1 or 2 days a week.
Sophia C. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Full-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Sophia C.

Hello! My name is Sophia and I have 4-5 years of hands on experience caring for children from newborns to early teens. I've worked closely with families, creating safe, engaging, and nurturing environments for kids of all ages.
In addition to my babysitting experience, I also spent 3 seasons working as a counselor at the Kroc Center summer camp. I also had the opportunity to step in as an educator during COVID for the children I looked after for those few months. Both these roles helped me develop strong skills in structure, creativity, and management in fun educational ways. I also have a background as a youth softball coach, which has strengthened my ability to mentor, and build confidence in kids.
Currently I work as a receptionist in the OBGYN department at Sharp Rees-Stealy while pursuing my Master's in Teaching. My long-term goal is to build a career working with children, and I see every childcare opportunity as a meaningful step toward becoming the best educator I can be.
