The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many important aspects to being a nanny. To list just a few...Being compassionate/ understanding while also being a source of safety/ comfort for a child when their parent is away. Also, ensuring the child is physically safe while providing a nurturing environment.
I believe one of the most important responsibilities of a nanny is to establish relationships with the parents as well as the kids. A parent is entrusting me to care for their child, which can cause a great deal of anxiety (as a mother, I know this first hand). It is important to establish a trusting and transparent foundation to ensure everyone is on the same page. We all want what is best for the kiddo so there needs to be clear communication and team work!

While at Baylor University, I studied early childhood education with an emphasis on special needs. This interest began when I worked at the Pikes Peak Therapeutic Recreation summer camp in high school. This was a summer program for children of all disabilities.
