A little bit about me

Hey! I’m Natelyn! But many call me Nat Nat. I am a fun, energetic, hard working 18 year old who has just graduated from a private Christian school. I love kids with all my heart and have always cared for kids of all ages. I am a current CNA and currently enrolled at Tri County Tech to finish off my LPN degree. I have helped kids in the nursery of our church for many years now from 1 month to 5 years of age, and some being special needs children. I’ve also been highly involved in our kid’s ministry at church, varying from 5-10 years of age. This included partnering once as a full time helper, and now partnering when needed. My dream is to work in a children’s hospital or work in a field surrounded by them. I love Jesus and fun! I make it a rule to have serious moments, but what’s in it without fun! I also enjoy cleaning and cooking whenever I’m able to. I’ve had a past of cleaning other’s houses and making meals for those in need. I’m CPR certified and have a BLS certification.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I find that the most important of a nanny is bonding with the children and finding what their likes and dislikes are. It’s putting yourself aside and caring for the child to best fit their needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experienced a few moments with special needs children, and have had to learn my way through it. Once was 5 years old when I first started watching over him, and now he is 7 years old. The second time was recent, where a 2 year old was present in the nursery with autism and I got him to laugh the whole time!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve had a few moments that made my whole life, and one was when I was taking care of a 7 year old, and decided to play extreme hide and seek. He ended up hiding in the dryer (which was unplugged at the time) and I couldn’t find him to save my life! So hilarious, and we played so many competitive games and went on a drive!
